Feeding the body certain foods can keep immunity high. The robust immunity system strengthening foods include garlic, citrus and bell peppers. If you thought that eating your way to good health is a myth, think again. 

Citrus's Lemony Power
Many folks turn to vitamin C after getting a cold. But citrus also tops immunity boosting foods found in nature. If you want your immunity system to function at 100 percent, you need to ensure that lemons and oranges form a part of your diet. Vitamin C is directly linked to the production of leucocytes or white blood cells that fend off infections. Vitamin C is ideal for good health. It is also easy to add this ingredient to any soup, salad or dish.  

Red Bell Peppers Are Full of Energy
Red bell peppers have twice as much vitamin C as any other source of food. But apart from this immunity-boosting vitamin, it also contains beta carotene which keeps the skin and the eyes in good health.


Broccoli is Best for Health
Green and leafy, broccoli has many vitamins and vital minerals that protect the body. It is high in vitamins E, C and A. This is one of the healthiest vegetables to place on the table.


Garlic is Good
Garlic is anti-inflammatory. It is also perfect for boosting the immunity system. From ancient times, civilizations have been using garlic as a form of cuisine. Garlic also lowers cholesterol and prevents artery hardening. Immune boosting properties come from the heavy concentration of allicin, a compound high in sulphur.

Ginger is Wonderful
Ginger is another ideal food to ward off low immunity and increase the ability of the body to ward off infections. Ginger packs heat in the guise of gingerol, which is akin to capsaicin. Chili peppers contain heat and possess properties to lower cholesterol.

Spinach is Splendid
Spinach contains vitamin C as well as a host of other antioxidants plus beta carotene. The latter which is also found in pumpkins and carrots is perfect for the warding off of germs and fend off infections.

Yoghurt is for You
Probiotic yoghurt is the perfect choice for those who want to stimulate the immune system to fend off diseases. These cultures will boost then the immune system to fend off diseases.

Conclusion
​Some of the other immunity boosting foods include green tea and turmeric. The latter also possesses anti-cancer properties. All in all, eating right can be the perfect way to stay healthy.
